COPCP members Patrica, Daniel, and Daphney joined elected officials and community leaders to denounce hate of all forms in our city.
Last week, an innocent woman wanting to travel to the Rockaways was attacked because of her skin color. An elderly male was attacked while wearing religious clothing on his way to prayer. Around our community, we have seen an increase in attacks against vulnerable individuals.
An attack on one of us is an attack on all of us. We will not tolerate any hate in our community and beyond. We are confident that the NYPD will work hard to bring the criminals to justice. As community members, we all play a vital role in the safety of ourselves and others. We should always remain observant and report suspicious and criminal activity.
