Tonight our members were out responding to storm conditions across the neighborhood. With severe flooding at North Conduit and Cohancy Street, our members positioned themselves at 114th Street to proactively redirect traffic and help alleviate the backup.
Downed trees and branches have been documented and reported throughout the community and we will be following up to ensure they are cleared.
In Centerville near 134 Avenue, a downed tree caused a power outage. Con Edison was on scene and power should be restored shortly if it has not already been.
(One of our member's phones was fried by the rain tonight, so we do not have photos from several scenes.)
Thank you to our volunteers who were out there tonight despite dealing with flooding in their own homes.
