A broken fire hydrant is running at full blast at 88th Street and Liberty Avenue.
88th Street is currently closed from Liberty Avenue due to this condition.
If anyone knows the owner of the van parked across from the hydrant, please let them know. The water is spraying directly onto the vehicle.
FDNY responded but was unable to shut off the hydrant. The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has been notified by both FDNY and COPCP. We are currently awaiting a DEP crew to respond.
