It has been heartwarming to see so many neighbors paying their respects to Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad.
On Friday, July 31, our community will have another chance to stand with her family as she is escorted to her final resting place.
The procession is expected to depart around 11:00 AM from Calvary Assembly of God on 101st Street & Rockaway Boulevard. It will travel west along Rockaway Boulevard, turn onto Cross Bay Boulevard, and then continue on to the Belt Parkway toward Long Island.
We are asking everyone who is able to stand along the route as the procession passes. Bring an American flag, invite a neighbor, and help give Sgt. Rampersad the respectful farewell she deserves while showing her family that her service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
