It has come to our attention that someone may be using the Cityline Ozone Park Civilian Patrol logo, and possibly the NYPD logo, on notices being distributed within the community.
We want to be absolutely clear: COPCP does not post notices on homes, businesses, garages, storefronts, or any other private property. We do not investigate our neighbors, involve ourselves in private disputes, or target residents, property owners, tenants, landlords, or businesses.
Our organization was founded to serve the community, not target it.
Our role is simple. We observe, report, assist, and connect residents with the appropriate resources and agencies when needed. We do not issue violations, conduct investigations, or insert ourselves into disagreements between neighbors.
Unfortunately, there are individuals and organizations that choose to involve themselves in disputes involving housing, businesses, and private property. That has never been the mission of COPCP, and it never will be.
We are deeply concerned by reports that our name, logo, or likeness may be being used without authorization. Any unauthorized use of COPCP’s identity will be documented and reported, and appropriate action will be taken.
