Today, our nation celebrates 250 years of history, sacrifice, freedom, and opportunity. It is a day to honor those who came before us, give thanks to those who continue to serve, and remember that strong communities are built when neighbors look out for one another.
At the Cityline Ozone Park Civilian Patrol, we were founded on a simple belief: No Community Without Unity. Every day, we see that belief come to life through neighbors helping neighbors, volunteers giving back, and people of every background coming together because they care about the place we all call home. That is what community is all about.
Today, we proudly thank the men and women of our Armed Forces, our veterans, and all those who have answered the call to serve our country. We are also grateful to the first responders who will be working throughout the holiday to keep our communities safe.
As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, let us remember that unity is not just something we talk about. It is something we build every day through kindness, respect, service, and looking out for one another.
