With the severe weather on Thursday night, COPCP volunteers assisted the NYPD 106th Precinct with redirecting traffic at 114th Street and North Conduit Avenue after recurring flooding near Cohancy Street, underneath the A train line, completely shut down North Conduit.
It is concerning to see flooding like this becoming more common. Just a few hundred feet away, major redevelopment is being planned for the Aqueduct property. If our local infrastructure is already struggling to support the community here today, we need to seriously question how it will support additional housing and development.
If your home, business or property was damaged during Thursday’s storm, please report it at reportdamage.nyc.gov. These reports help document the impact on our community.
