The holiday season is a time for spreading joy and cheer, and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to do just that at our annual toy giveaway. Over 450 children in our community were able to experience a bit of holiday magic thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, organizations, schools, and individual supporters, including Marine Toys for Foundation, Empire HealthPlus, and BACDYS. We also want to express our appreciation to the student council of P.S. 64Q, who held a toy collection drive and helped us spread cheer.
The event was complete with a special visit from Santa and Ms. Claus, holiday music, decorations, and a hot chocolate station. We also provided cookies, sweets, and warm winter gear such as leggings and jackets. The toy giveaway was a heartwarming and joyful event that brought smiles to the faces of children in the community and created lasting memories.
We are grateful to all the sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible, including Jose Sanchez, dressed as Santa Claus, Sasha from PS.63Q as Ms. Claus, Shivrams Bakery and Trini Delite for providing food, PS.108Q, PS.63Q, PS.64Q, and the NYPD 102nd Precinct for donating toys. We also want to thank Senator Joe Addabbo, Community Board 9, Queens chair Sherry Algredo, representatives from Assemblywoman Jenifer Rajkumar’s office, and District Leader Richard David for attending the toy giveaway and showing their support for our efforts.
We hope this toy giveaway brought a bit of holiday cheer to the children in our community and helped to make this holiday season a little brighter. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this event. Your support and efforts have brought joy to the children in our community, and we are deeply grateful.
