On Dec 4th at 3 AM, our patrol members reported a street takeover on Rockaway Blvd. A flash mob of cars with about 100 people shut down the street, performing very dangerous stunts that put everyone at risk. We thank the 102nd Precinct for the quick response and disbursement.

Our members provided traffic control and assisted the drivers involved at the scene of a car accident on Crossbay Blvd. If you are in a car accident with no injuries, the police aren’t required. It’s easy to get lost, especially when visiting from another country. After encountering a group with luggage around 1 AM, our volunteers assisted them after they had the wrong address and escorted them to where they were staying. We also gave them advice on staying safe throughout the city and recommendations on local businesses.

While on patrol, our volunteers were able to mediate after a dispute broke out between employees and a delivery driver about the delivery app. We were able to interpret and explain the misunderstanding sending the driver on his way with hot food for the customer.
